USA - California - San Francisco

Here we are again. This time our trip takes us to lovely San Fancisco. We stayed here only a few days and explored the city and the nearby San Jose. And last but not least .. a Pirate festival! I got your interest? Then keep reading...

San Francisco

I'll keep this part of the trip relativly short since we also had a previous posts about San Fran.

First off: Staying in San Francisco with a larger group can be really expensive! For that reason alone we decided to cup our stay short and just stay in a Hostel for 2 days. It was two small rooms connected but a great location downtown in short walk distance to many sightseeing highlights. One of them being Chinatown, apparently one of the oldest and most established Chinatowns in the U.S.

One of the places we visited in the city was the Golden Gate Park and the Conservatory of Flowers located there.

The next day we had a little excursion with the train to San Jose to visit friends of JJs parents. Here a cute picture of her grandparents at the train station

Pirate Festival

To try something different than the usual stops we decided to check out a local pirate fair happening in Vallejo. To get there we took the ferry, a great deal to explore!

Heading north

After spending a few days in the city it was time to head to our next stop: along Highway 1 to the Redwood forests. Stay tuned for our roadtrip adventure!
