Short recap from our trip to the US to watch disc golf pros at the Portland Open in June 2023 over the weekend. Our first stop was a Trojan Park just North of Portland. One thing that really stood out was the amount of water you have here. On top of that it was incredible windy that day, which made for very tough conditions. Yes, disc were lost but it is a beautiful park.

For the night we decided to camp at Sand Island Marine Park which is kinda fun since you have to take a small boat to get across. Overall it was a fun time to be on the island and have some camping, but with the tight schedule it was also a bit rushed. Probably hotel next time!

With minimal cell reception we tried to catch up on the previous round.

Next porning we stopped in this cute little town Bamford for some breakfast, yummy!

And then it was time for the big show. Was cool to see the pros in person throwing a mile.

and then getting some signatures and handshakes after

Once the tournament was all set and done we headed back home, but not without first stopping in Riverbend to check out another course.

It is build on an old golf course and very well maintained. Great stop on the way.
And then to top it off the breakfast for champions at Tim's Kitchen in Southbend near Seattle!
