BC Trip 2020 - Lake Louise to Lillooet

After the long day hiking we decided to take it a bit easier the next day. We headed over to Canmore and after a good breakfast at JK Bakery Cafe (jummy baked goods) to play some discgolf at the Canmore Nordic Centre. We had lot of fun throwing discs and exploring the course with our friends.

Afterward we walked through the town and ended up getting some ice cream at Old School Bus Ice Cream.

The name says it all :)

In the afternoon we stopped at Lake Minnewanka for a short swim and then our day was almost over already.

The next morning we said our goodbyes and left early to make our way back home. First up was Moraine Lake, where we had to be early to find a parking spot. Luckily we made it just in time before the last ones were gone. It probably helped that it was a bit rainy and cloudy that day.

To our great suprise it cleared up just when we walked up to the lake, which resulted in some wonderful rainbow, A spectacular sight!

After a short walk along the lake we continued on to Lake Louise. Another one that I was really hoping to finally see, and it didn't disappoint!

We still had some time as it was not that late yet, so we sponaneusly decided to hike up to the teehouse at Lake Agnes. It's a relativly short hikle (about 8km) uphill and offers senic views all around.

When we made it up the views just kept taking our breath away.

We ordered a small snack and some tee before making our way back down. When we come back one day I really want to hike to the Plain of Six Glaciers Teahouse, which is a bit further to hike to.

It was now past noon and time to get moving. We headed down Highway 1 for a quick stop at Natural Bridge and Emerald Lake in Yoho National Park. Another area you can spend days exploring.

After checking out the lake it got really time to get going. On our drive back we stopped at a Dutch farm with a small bird collection

and then just along Highway 1 through Kamloops towards Lillooet for the incredible sights:

We explored the town for a bit, but since it was pretty quiet.

The next day we explored the local disc golf course, which has just many tonals in a wooded area.

What was interesting was that it's right besides a gun range, so you just hear people shooting randomly from time to time.

Here one more picture from the river that that flows through Lillooet.

The day after we drove back home. That's it for this excursion, hope you enjoyed!
