Looking back on a day hike we did back in June with our friends Sean and Alice. The hike was up to Deeks Lake, which is park of the Howe Sound Crest Trail starting from Porteau Cove. The hike is about 12 km and takes around 5 hours to complete. For the most part it is not that steep, so just very enjoyable for a day out.

After maybe two hours we reached the first lookout

After this it goes up a bit steeper.

When you get to the big waterfall you are almost there

Sean and Alice wanted to continue to the next small lake along the trail, which lead us along a not very save snow patch.

We mande it across, only to be greeted wit a water crossing.

We decided that it was not save enough, so turned around. Enough adventure for a day!
