USVI St Thomas 2022

Back with the second part of our trip to the BVI. This time first back to Road Town after we dropped off our boat in the marina. We started by just taking a small stroll through the town and got ourselves some fresh coconuts and ice cream.

Then it was time to head over to the USVI to Charlotte Amalie via ferry and check into our wonderful apartment overlooking the ocean. A perfect place to relax for the remaining days, hanging out with friends and cooking together.

In the morning of the next day we went to Montain Top, which is just a big place to buy souverniers. Some nice stuff, nbut not too interesting. Then our group split and JJ and I started exploring the surroundings. First on the list was the nearby Phantasea Tropical Botanical Garden which was a fun walk.

Then we wanted to do something more adventurous and we took the jeep we had rented to a more remote beach that is only 4x4 accessible.

Going down the road gave me a bad feeling. The ground was still a bit wet from the recent rain and it was overall in a bad condition.

In the end we got rewarded with a pristine beach and only one other couple that left shortly after we arrived. There we also found this little swing that was fun to play arond with.

And then JJ also started collecting some rocks on the beach.

Going back was real nerve wrecking. Going down the trail was easy compared to coming back up. A few times we got stuck and I got worried that we have to get rescued, but in the end I just pressed the gas and we somehow made it out. Had to give the car a good wash in the town after, this red mud was really hard to get off.

Back in town we explored a bit more and got some BBQ chicken before handing out at our place for a final night.

And that wraps up our trip. Everything worked out great we we are thankful for our frinds who made this possible and an awesome experience.
